If you are living a fast paced life, suffering from stress, anxiety, over thinking, disconnection and you feel more tired than you do motivated, its probably safe to say your body is in a flight/fight response.

Frustration, anger, stress and anxiety can lead to an increase in heart rate releasing the hormone cortisol presenting a flight/fight situation in your body which doesn’t restore balance until your heart reduces. High levels of releasing cortisol can lead to lower progesterone, fatigue, adrenal burn out, hormonal challengers, sleep issues, weight gain, irritability and sheer exhaustion. Signs this could be happening to you are fatigue during the day and looking for a sugar or carbohydrate fix at certain times.

Yin yoga allows you to slow down, connect to your body and calm the nervous system. Relaxing the muscles, lowering the heart rate and bringing peace to the body allows rejuvenation and balance to occur.

Using props, essential oils, sound bowls and incense all create an atmosphere to give the body permission to let go and be supported leaving behind fear, worry, control and coming back to yourself and what you need.

With savasna at the end of each session it leaves your body, mind and soul connected, clear and focused walking away feeling light as a feather, de-stressed and relaxed.
