If you are living a fast paced life, suffering from stress and anxiety which triggers over thinking and disconnection, it is safe to say that you will feel more tired than you do motivated as your nervous system is surviving in a flight/fight response.

Prolonged stress and anxiety lead to an increase in heart rate releasing the stress hormone cortisol which presents a flight/fight situation in your body and doesn’t restore balance until you calm down and bring your heart rate back to normal. High levels of releasing cortisol can lead to lower progesterone, fatigue, adrenal burn out, hormonal challengers, sleep issues, weight gain, irritability and sheer exhaustion. Signs this could be happening to you are fatigue during the day and looking for a sugar or carbohydrate fix at certain times, usually 10am or 3pm.

Yin yoga allows you to slow down, connect to your body and calm the nervous system. Relaxing the muscles, lowering the heart rate and bringing peace to the body allows rejuvenation and balance to occur.

With yoga being online, one of the benefits is that you can do this in the comfort of your own home and have a calm and relaxed atmosphere with what you are seeing on screen. Soft gentle music, dim lights and oracle cards are present to give you that yoga feel which have you feeling relaxed and grounded before you even start. At home you are encouraged to create a space where you give your body permission to let go and be supported leaving behind fear, worry, control and coming back to yourself and what you need.

With savasna at the end of each session it leaves your body, mind and soul connected, clear and focused walking away feeling light as a feather, de-stressed and relaxed.
