What is Holistic Counselling?
Holistic counselling is a gentle and compassionate form of therapy treating the whole body, mind and spirit, focusing on the areas you want to improve in your life so you can move forward in a positive state of mind.
Each session will be different depending on the clients situation, however can consist of guidance, emotional freedom technique (EFT tapping), worksheets, meditation and visualisations, chakra balance and clearing, reiki energy healing, yoga, sound and essential oils.
By clearing away unhealthy mental and emotional patterns, you can heal the root cause of suffering and disease, and begin creating a life of greater happiness and peace, this is what we aim for in holistic counselling.
What is Emotional Freedom Technique?
Emotional Freedom Technique, otherwise known as EFT or tapping, is a form of counselling that integrates various modalities of alternative medicine combining both eastern energy meridian knowledge and western psychology. This may include neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, acupuncture and thought field therapy which will benefit and improve your physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
Emotions get trapped in the body when you experience any kind of trauma whether significant or minor and when these emotions go un-noticed, after some time they manifest into the physical body creating discomfort. When you tap on certain meridian points, similar to acupuncture, along with voicing these negative thought patterns or beliefs you are holding, you can clear the emotional blocks connected to the trauma and release the
physical and emotional pain.
This technique can treat a wide variety of physical and psychological disorders and is easy to learn to help you in everyday life. Studies show that Emotional Freedom Technique is increasingly supported by counsellors, psychologists, social workers and health professionals.
